When removing debris from the ducts, you first insert a reverse air ball that allows you to blow the debris back to the clear duct box. The box is then attached to a dual motor vacuum system. The spray mist applies the chemicals up to 20 feet. The red dye is added to the sprayer bottle to demonstrate misting chemicals using the sprayer. The complete package of equipment includes a flight-style travel case, the clear duct cleaning box, the kick plate, a cut-off valve, a metal spray gun, the whip head, reverse and forward ball, and 25-foot lightweight clear duct hose. It also includes a flight-style travel case ladder hook, the bio-clean duct spray gun, and a two-foot sprayer wand.
Duct Cleaning Methods
There are two types of duct cleaning methods:
1. Negative air method
It uses large vacuum systems.
2. The contact or push and pull method
It utilizes portable vacuum systems.

Both methods work. If your goal is to remove dust and debris from ducts, they both work. Both methods require a vacuum source and an air compressor. The big difference between these two methods is negative air requires that you cut an eight-inch hole to access the ducts whereas the contact method utilizes the existing duct openings.
Additionally, a truck-mounted vacuum or a very big portable vacuum is needed for the negative air method’s suction source. By far, the most expensive equipment is the truck-mounted units, costing between thirty-nine thousand and fifty-five thousand dollars. Negative air portable vacuums weigh 150 pounds and cost between three and five thousand dollars.
Besides the vacuum, you need many other tools to clean air ducts properly. An air compressor, duct cutting tools, hoses, agitating tools, and much more, cost another two to three thousand dollars. A complete portable negative air setup costs between six thousand and eight thousand dollars.

You cannot use negative air machines in some duct cleaning jobs. In our experience, some job sites prohibit cutting into the ducts. For example, secured facilities like a prison, many high-rise buildings, and ducts located in high ceilings make it impossible to use negative air duct cleaning equipment.
